Change the unchangeable
As for me, nothing is unchangeable. Someone will ask “Can you change the world?” My answer is “Absolutely not”. Then, there will be another question, “Why do you say nothing is unchangeable?” This is what I want to say in my present lecture——How to change the unchangeable.
Maybe we can’t change the world, but we can change ourselves. If we are determined to keep changing ourselves persistently, one day, we’ll find the world has changed a lot because of us.
Throughout history, those who have highly established in their career, such as the founder of the People’s Republic of China, Chairman Mao, and the well-known litterateur, Lu Xun. They had changed themselves more rather than changed the world.
At that time, most people believed that what they had done couldn’t change the status quo of China. But they did. They spared no effort to do whatever they could. They changed their mind and put their new thought into practice. As a result, they changed generation to generation and even the whole country.
Saying is easy, doing is difficult. What should we do in order to change ourselves, further change the unchangeable? On one hand, we need to change our attitude. To put it simply, accept the unchangeable, change what can be changed. On the other hand, if there’s something we can do, we must spring into action,
even it looks insignificant. Making efforts will not surely lead to success, but giving up will be bound to fail. Maybe one day the thing you thought insignificant has changed what you thought unchangeable before.
So, we must remember life is created by ourselves. To change the unchangeable, the first thing we need to do is to change ourselves. Then, you’find nothing in the world is unchangeable.
